Dilshan ton overpowers Australia

Sri Lanka's captain Tillakaratne Dilshan struck a compelling century then marshalled his team neatly in the field to secure a 35-run victory over Australia in the first Twenty20 international in Kandy.

Awesome England take top spot

England win by an innings and 242 runs and lead series 3-0 Edgbaston rises as the England players walk off. In the dressing room Andy Flower looks absolutely calm but as the players greet him he manages a smile. This has been a special performance from a very special team. Yet again they have flattened the celebrated India batting line up for under 300. James Anderson led the way with four wickets but was, as ever, backed up by the Stuart Broad and Tim Bresnan. MS Dhoni managed to salvage some personal pride with an unbeaten 74 but his team were a long, long way out of the contest. It's the 15th worst innings defeat in Test history and also Dhoni's first series loss as captain.

Rubel restricts Zimbabwe to 199

Zimbabwe's batsmen were stymied by the Bangladesh bowling attack on a slow pitch after an encouraging start at the Queen's Sports Club in Bulawayo. The change of venue - the three previous games were held in Harare - worked in Bangladesh's favour as their spinners were able to capitalise once the in-form Vusi Sibanda fell to end a solid opening stand. Amid some excellent fielding and some smart wicketkeeping, Brendan Taylor took up the responsibility of anchoring the innings and taking Zimbabwe to a respectable score.

Revitalised Sri Lanka look to even series

A lot has changed in Australian cricket over the past 24 hours but one thing remains the same: the team is in Sri Lanka trying to win a one-day series. The players have been briefed on the Argus report, which has resulted in Andrew Hilditch and Greg Chappell being removed from the selection panel, and the captain and coach being made selectors. Chappell remains in Sri Lanka with the side, and will pick the team for Saturday's match. It might be difficult for the players to retain their focus amid such turmoil, but given how impressive Sri Lanka were in the third match, they will need to shut out all distractions. Tillakaratne Dilshan and his men found a spark to keep the series alive in Hambantota, and victory in Saturday's game in Colombo will level the series. The teams met at this venue during the World Cup but the match was washed out. The pitch had offered plenty of spin on that occasion, which should give the hosts some confidence.

Murray concerned ahead of US Open

Andy Murray concedes he still has plenty of work to before the US Open, despite recording a convincing win over Alex Bogomolov Jr at the Western & Southern Open.
